The system determines recovery rates based on product category and material type — because a PET bottle is not recycled the same way as a PET electronics casing.

130 km truck + 240 km train + 270 km barge. Based on PEFCR Guidance v6.3 §7.14.2 + Eurostat 2015.

Extra-EU

~0.32 kg CO2e/kg

1,000 km truck + 18,000 km container ship. For imported materials (rare metals, exotic fibers, etc.).

The system determines the scenario automatically based on material origin and factory location. Network/pipeline materials (water) are exempt.
