Plastics, metals, paper, and textiles have different landfill EFs. DEFRA 2025 provides data per waste type.

130 km truck + 240 km train + 270 km barge. Based on PEFCR Guidance v6.3 §7.14.2 + Eurostat 2015.

Extra-EU

1,000 km truck + 18,000 km container ship. For imported materials (rare metals, exotic fibers, etc.).
